FIGJAM BOARD TO SLIDE DECK

This feature connects FigJam and Figma Slides by turning a FigJam board into a structured slide outline. With just a few clicks, users can move from early thinking to a clear presentation. It represents a bigger shift in helping people move fluidly between Figma tools without starting over.



I first prototyped the concept in 2023 and shared it as a grassroots idea. By 2024, I led the design for the feature, scoped the flow, and helped shape it into a live demo for Config.

One of the details I prioritized early was the streaming animation. I saw that the real “aha” moment wasn’t just the outline itself, but how it appeared. I prototyped several motion concepts to bring that moment to life and paired closely with our Engineers to refine the animation timing, zoom, panning, overlays, and overall composition. People later called it a “value connection moment.”

This feature was demoed by Jordan Singer and Dan Meija at Config 2024. After the demo, I handed off the project and mentored a designer as she brought it to launch. It fully wrapped up and shipped in September 2024.
