01 FIGMA BUZZ

I led design for Figma Buzz, a new editor for marketers and brand designers to create on-brand content. I defined the editing system, extended Design System capabilities into a new context, and shipped features like Focused Editing, Make Image (using gpt-image-1), the Inline Toolbar, and more. Launched at Config 2025.

02 TONE DIAL

The Tone Dial lets presenters shape how their ideas come across by adjusting tone along a tactile axis. I designed and shipped it with a small team in under a month, and it became part of the wider conversation around AI UI and creative tooling.

03 FIGJAM TO SLIDES

I designed a feature that turns a FigJam board into a structured Slides outline, helping users move smoothly from early ideas to presentation. It points to a broader ambition: blurring abstraction boundaries across Figma and making workflows feel more connected. Demoed by Jordan Singer and Dan Meija at Config 2024.

04 FIGJAM MONETIZATION

To upsell Pro features, I designed contextual nudges that showed up naturally in the user journey. Instead of banners, we focused on helpful, well-timed prompts. I animated each visual myself in Origami to keep them playful and lightweight.

 FIGJAM AI

This was Figma’s first step in building native AI features, and I led design across the full bundle — including Generate Templates, Prompt Browsing, and Sort & Summarize. I worked closely with Matt Chan, Andrew Schmidt, and Rocky Chen, guiding the overall direction. The patterns and frameworks from this work helped shape Figma’s internal AI strategy mid-2023 and influenced future features like First Draft.

06 JAMBOT

Jambot was Figma’s first AI feature: a ChatGPT-powered plugin for FigJam that helped teams brainstorm, generate icebreakers, rewrite text, and more. Aosheng Ran and I worked on the design for its initial launch, which was demoed by Dylan Field at a16z’s AI Revolution panel. Jambot helped position Figma as one of Fast Company’s most innovative companies in the Applied AI category.

07 FIGJAM TEMPLATES

I managed and improved FigJam’s template ecosystem, including the template picker, shelf, and thumbnails. The goal was to make templates easier to discover, preview, and use—helping users get started faster and with more confidence.

08 FIGJAM GROWTH

Worked on FigJam’s early growth strategy, testing ways to reduce friction and increase activation by focusing on onboarding, permission states, and other key levers.

 JAM-O-WEEN

I added seasonal Easter eggs to FigJam, like a pumpkin carving widget and a spiderweb emote wheel. These small touches brought a bit of fun and delight to the product.

10 OPEN APP

To help more people explore Twitter without barriers, I designed the company’s first iOS Open App experience—focused on browsing Tweets, Communities, live sports, and search without needing an account. I led the vision work, mapped a year-long roadmap, and partnered across teams to define what an open experience could look like. While the feature didn’t ship, the work set direction for future logged-out experiences.

11 TWEET SHARING

Explored a feature that let users share Tweets with decorative frames to other platforms, making it easier to extend Twitter conversations beyond the app, especially around events and communities.
